We cover a wide variety of Excel training topics in our public and private classes. Some topics may be discussed in several different classes, at different skill levels and depth.
- Navigation & Views (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Managing Databases)Though navigation and basic functionality is briefly covered in every Excel class, students needing help with the Ribbon, interacting with the program, and Excel terminology would be best served with our Basic or Intermediate Excel classes. We cover viewing and building large workbooks or databases in our Advanced and Managing Databases classes.
- Formatting (Basic, Intermediate, Pivot Tables & Charts)Formatting the appearance of cells and data simplifies spreadsheets, and makes large or complex data more useful. We cover Excel formatting in several classes, but the Basic class goes into the most depth.
- Conditional formatting (Intermediate, Advanced, Pivot Tables & Charts, Formulas & Functions)Excel conditional formatting adjusts the format of a cell based on values or conditions. This topic is covered in several classes.
- Charts (Intermediate, Advanced, Pivot Tables & Charts)Excel Charts graphically display data for better analysis, discovery of trends, and reporting. We cover Excel Charts in several of our classes, though our Pivot Tables & Charts class covers it in the most depth.
- Pivot Tables (Advanced, Pivot Tables & Charts)Excel Pivot Tables are one of the most useful features in the program. We cover Pivot Tables in two classes. The Pivot Tables & Charts class covers it in more depth.
- Formulas & Functions (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Formulas & Functions)Skills with Excel Formulas and Functions are essential for getting the most out of the program. Every class covers Formulas and Functions from the very Basic to the most complex. To learn specifically about formulas and functions, we recommend Formulas & Functions class.
- Lookups, HLookups, VLookups (Advanced, Formulas & Functions)For Excel users who have never been exposed to the advanced functions of the software, Lookups can be a revelation, saving many hours of tedious work. We cover similar Lookup content in both our Advanced and Formulas & Functions classes.
- IF statements (Intermediate, Advanced, Formulas & Functions)IF statements are a powerful way to automate processing and reports in Excel. Our Advanced Excel class covers them in the most depth, though other classes such as Managing Databases, also include that material.
